Jai yawned and rolled out of bed earlier than he was used to, mostly because the new school year was less than a week and he was trying to break his poor habits of getting up after noon. Marisa said she was proud of him for being so responsible, getting up that early although he wasn’t even asked. Jai was happy but felt a little guilty when he would go back to sleep after she left.
School was something Jai didn’t want to think about, since traveling in Kitarra’s world would be harder, a combination of no sleep and homework really builds up stress.
